Staph Skin Infections

Staphylococcal skin infections frequently start off as an innocent enough looking pimple or small red bump. Sometimes it can quickly become larger and more painful. A particularly worrisome staph infection is what is referred to as a MRSA infection. This stands for methicillin resistant staphyloccal aureus infection. What this means is that the bacteria is resistant to the antibiotic that was once typically used to treat it.
